Packers and Movers
(Have qualifications to be a driver? We have non-CDL and CDL positions available)
Pay range: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour.
Schroeder Moving Systems is seeking full and part-time movers for our local and regional service.
Position Summary
Excellent customer service is the number one goal. Assist the driver with moving household or commercial goods efficiently and safely. Movers will safely assist in all facets of a move. From packing, loading and delivering to also participating in commercial relocations. Prior experience is preferred but a thorough training program is in place for those new to the industry.
Essential Job Functions
Loads and unloads vehicles by hand or by use of hand truck or dolly
Wraps furniture with blankets to prevent damage
Wraps dishes and fragile items in packing paper and packs them into containers
Pads, stacks, and secures items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment
Delivers and stacks shipment on customer's premises
Assists in cleaning company equipment and property throughout the day.
Qualification Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to company standards. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills
Dependable and Reliable
Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required
Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to both co-workers and customers alike.
Ability to listen and take instructions with regards to customer service.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using both whole numbers and decimal points.
REASONING SKILLS:
Ability to solve everyday problems, always looking for the best right answer.
Ability to interpret/understand/explain a variety of instructions. These instructions can/will come in multiple forms (written, oral, schedule, diagram)
Must be able to read a map
Physical Demands and Abilities
Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on the season
General Requirements & Expectations:
Execution and adherence to Unigroup agency compliance and policy guidelines.
All employees must pass a background check upon being hired.
All employees are subject to a drug test upon being hired.
All employees will be put into our random drug testing program during their tenure at Schroeder Moving Systems.

ARE YOU WHAT WE ARE SEEKING?
Need to have the strength and stamina to repeatedly lift and move at least 75 lbs. throughout each day.
Good work ethic and a positive, professional attitude - we hire for attitude and train for skill.
High-school diploma or GED.
Communication skills to engage professionally both verbally and in-writing in English.
Minimum of 18 years old.
