SCHROTH is a leading developer and manufacturer of innovative occupant protection and restraint systems for highly specialized aerospace, defense, and motorsport applications. We develop sophisticated technical solutions for international customers in seats, seat belts, airbag technology, and crash safety. We are currently seeking a motivated Certification Engineer to join our team. RESPONSIBILITIES: Review and develop technical documentation and specifications for regulatory authorities, customers, and internal requirements for certification activities. Develop and release test plans and reports for product compliance for DO-160, SAE AS8049 and FAA AC 20-146A type programs. Review and sign-off Engineering drawings with proper verification of compliance. Coordinate and oversee testing to support certification programs. Perform failure investigation and support redesign activates as required. Support customer technical inquiries, especially in the field of commercial aviation. Collaborate with production team, quality department, and manufacturing engineering on new product implementations and maintenance of current product production. Support of various development projects in the field of technical documentation. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 3-4 years’ experience in aviation certification Bachelor’s degree in aerospace/mechanical engineering, or related engineering discipline Working experience with SOLIDWORKS or similar CAD software Strong skills in technical writing Experience in application of PDM systems preferable
