IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Oversees, reviews, verifies and corrects all payroll data such as hours worked, bonus and commission, tax and benefit information to ensure accuracy of payroll
- Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, loan payments, 401(K), as well as other required information for employment records
- Fields employee questions as they relate to payroll and timekeeping related matters
- Stays current and monitors changes in federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance regarding payroll practices
- Identifies process improvement initiatives, define standards for new processes and makes recommendations to management
- Fulfills wage garnishment requirements by completing forms, adjusting payroll records and documenting withholdings
- Prepares and reviews weekly, month-end, and other reports requested by supervisors
- Reconciles General Ledger Accounts as it relates to payroll information
- Assists Accounting department as needed
- Provides training to employees on payroll software system
- Train team members and educate employees on new or enhanced operation procedures and policies
- Assists with processing payroll-related invoices
- Reviews wage and employment verifications for accuracy
- Administers 401(k) match
- Provides reporting as required to management and others as it relates to areas of responsibilities, including workers’ compensation, H.S.A., 401(K), and ISO audits
- Manages payroll software system and updates as they occur
- Administers expense report system (Certify)
- Oversees ISO Work Instructions and forms as it relates to responsibilities
- Maintains the confidentiality standards of payroll operations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Three years of experience in payroll processing preferred

- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication
- Ability to tailor communication to employees based on their knowledge of the topic
- Routinely work independently and adapt to frequent delays and unexpected events
- Ability to read/interpret written material

- Occasionally lift and/or move office materials including files and equipment weighing up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the scheduled shift
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.
