We are looking for a skilled and experienced Paint Lead to join our team. The Paint Lead will be responsible for overseeing the painting projects and ensuring high-quality finishes on various surfaces. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and expertise in paint application techniques.
Duties:
- Lead a small team of painters in painting projects according to specifications
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary
- Ability to apply paint using various methods such as brush, roller, and airless spray
- Ensure proper mixing and matching of paint colors
- Monitor paint inventory and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition
- Train new painters on proper painting techniques and safety protocols
- Inspect finished work to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Paint Lead or similar role in construction or manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of paint types, finishes, and color matching
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating paint quantities
- Proficient in using airless paint spraying equipment
- Skilled in using hand tools for surface preparation
