Job Title: Supply Chain Manager, Retail
Salary Range: $80-$95k
Type: Full- Time
Reports: SVP Manufacturing
Location: Denver, CO
Position Objective:
The Supply Chain Manager, Retail is responsible for overseeing all Supply Chain related activities involving the procurement of material, inventory planning, optimization and control, external supply assurance, PPV, work order planning, cycle counting and other material metrics in the spirit of continuous improvement. Creates and owns the material execution plan in support of initiatives created by the department and within budget. This person also provides leadership for optimization projects, material changes, supplier capability, defect reduction or other projects in support of external supply chain efficiencies.
Within this multi-faceted role, the Supply Chain Manager will be required to work cross functionally, and assess and track developments against key milestones to achieve optimal production buy dates and expected demand based deliveries. Key partners will include category managers, external delivery providers, retail store directors, finance and warehouse operations.
Essential Functions
- Maintain and execute the system and processes to generate a baseline statistical forecast and augment the demand signal with business intelligence.
- Contribute to monthly S&OP meetings that provide clarity of assumptions, business actions and trends, and provide the foundation of strategic discussions to drive the business.
- Manage the demand planning deliverables to ensure integrity, applicability and comprehensiveness of the demand plan.
- Analyze sales performance at the category / SKU level to support discussions with retail team intelligence to improve the demand signal
- Create external supply operational strategy for the retail defined categories
- Leads execution and assists in development of external supplier master plan in alignment with overall category management goals
- Communicate with external suppliers and with internal purchasing department to develop sourcing strategies in sync with department and company business plans
- Owns optimization of material supply chain
- Risk management and supply chain modelling
- Owns on site(s) execution of plans
- Performs ad-hoc projects to drive operational efficiency and cost savings
- Leads audits and utilizes root cause analysis for improvements as needed and to investigate any and all outages or shortages
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related field preferred or comparable experience in Supply Chain Management
- 5 years of demand planning / forecasting with increasing responsibility
- At least 3-5 years of leadership experience in strategic sourcing, category management and/or vendor management
- Significant Excel experience (pivot tables and charts, etc) required, Tableau, PowerBI, Access reporting skills a plus, ERP experience preferred
- Strong cross-functional project management capabilities
- Cannabis industry experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite of Products
- Ability to work and communicate with various levels within the organization, including members of the executive leadership team
Working Conditions (Schedule, Environment, Travel)
- Position is based Denver, Colorado
- Travel as needed approximate 20% of the time to business locations within Colorado
