Science Summer Camp Instructor

Love making science come alive for children? Love incorporating hands on learning? We need YOU to bring the FUN and Enthusiasm to our Science Summer Camp Program!

Science Explorers runs hands-on science camps for children ages 4-11. This camp program will run:

Moravian Academy, 1100 S. 24th Street, Allentown, PA 18103

• Week of 7/8, Monday to Friday, 9:00am-12pm & 9:00am-4:00pm, Ages 7-11
• Week of 7/15, Monday to Friday, 9:00am-12:00pm, ages 4-6 Junior Explorers
• Week of 7/22, Monday to Friday, 9:00am-12pm & 9:00am-4:00pm, Ages 7-11

We provide all materials, curriculum, and paid training! We schedule one instructor and one assistant instructor for each week of camp, so you get to work as a team.
Our pay is $550 for a full day week and $295 for a half day week (assistants are paid $430 and $230 respectively). We offer fun topics in many areas of science such as Chemistry, Engineering, Astronomy, Marine Biology and more!

You don’t have to be a science teacher to instruct our clubs, you do need to have previous experience teaching or working with groups of children. Reliable transportation is required. There will be additional time necessary for prep and cleaning up at the beginning and end of the day, typically an hour before camp on Monday, 1/2 hour the rest of the week and time after camp to clean and prep for the next day. We pay per camp week and offer Direct Deposit. You must have or be willing to obtain current required background checks and provide copies to us prior to the start of camp. • This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position
• COMMITMENT IS ESSENTIAL! Once the schedule is set and materials are sent, it is of the UTMOST importance that you stick to the schedule for the full week of camp.
• There is an opportunity to work 1 or more weeks of camp.
• Some teaching/instructing/tutoring experience is required
• Up-to-date clearances are required (background checks, CPR, child abuse certificate, etc)
• In-person or zoom training
• Reliable transportation is required

Pay: $325.00 - $600.00 per week
