The Physical Security Manager maintains a safe and secure environment and meets contractual customer obligations applying to facility and product security, in-house SLA’s and enforces existing policy, procedure, and best practices via the supervision of established security programs and responsibilities assigned to and conducted by SG lottery uniformed security staff. The PSM will keep the Corporate Security Director apprised of performance trends & KPI’s, and alert of any breaches, shortcomings or changing risk developments.
Security Manager Job Duties
Manages and professionally develops uniformed staff in supervisory shift lead positions and security officers.
Maintain established security programs, standards and enforces policy in Alpharetta and its local satellite offices.
Responsible for maintaining a secure facility perimeter, internal access controls, product integrity, incident response and transportation/cargo security controls in the Alpharetta facility and local satellite suites.
Maintains departmental performance best practices in the administration and monitoring of access controls, intrusion and environmental alarm detection and ensures appropriate escalation response for 30 plus lottery facilities in the US and or abroad connected to lottery security system platforms.
Monitor facility access events, credential holder transactions, investigate anomalies and audit the performance of least privilege and separation of duties policies and concepts.
Oversees security staff fulfilment of Jira Security helpdesk tickets submitted by Lottery employees globally.
Oversees security staff response to LiveSafe app correspondence, safety/security concerns encountered by North American Lottery personnel in the field and on campus.
Administrates Lottery Security Servers, remote workstations and NVR’s required to maintain security platform software (Access, Surveillance, Risk Management & Incident Reports, update versions, conduct patches and provisions remote view accounts to lottery customer counterparts as required by contract.
Provisions timely customer correspondence and documentation as required by contract to include prize balancing paperwork and closed out game product destruction certificates.
Assists with corporate investigations by researching and providing security documentation and records and or conducts internal investigation into property loss, operations level violations, events, breaches, or incidents as approved and assigned by the Director of Corporate Security.
Ensure that all required and or scheduled security PM plans, program audits, system/device tests and facility inspections are completed in a consistent and timely manner by uniformed staff and to ensure compliance with department KPI’s, applicable code and regulation requirements and ensure that all records are properly maintained per established formats and duration requirements.
Ensure that all uniformed security staff members maintain required state security certifications and are aware of, properly trained in and can conduct all tasks assigned to them in emergency response, disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Initiate and conduct appropriate emergency response and recovery actions to include first responder assistance, individual medical evacuations, facility evacuations and shelter in place actions per established plans, procedures, and assigned tasks.
Ensure all SG safety programs and related OSHA and EPA documentation and reporting tasks assigned to security are completed to standards and on time.
Conduct regular and irregular inspections of the property and staff performance to ensure the consistent application of tasks and services and review daily activities records of security officers on all shifts.
Complete regular staff appraisals for each staff member and conduct corrective interviews with staff where necessary.
Maintain staff scheduling and payroll balances. Ensure that all necessary time sheets and documents are completed.
Ensure uniformed staff adheres to dress code policy, report for duty on time as scheduled and perform to set standards.
Coordination of VIP visit security courtesies, controlled photography sessions as prescribed by the Security Director
Establish and maintain effective means of communication and working rapport with staff/management of other departments.
Updates, escalates, and confer s with the Director of Corporate Security regarding the progress of uniformed security generated risk management system reports.
Produces fingerprint applications for employees and affiliates for licensing and or internal risk program requirements and access third party databases to initiate and issue standard personnel clearances by interpretation of criminal records per established guidelines, standards, and authorization by the Director of Corporate Security.
Generates documents, forms, informational and monthly KPI reports and other security department metrics regarding core department responsibilities such as but not limited to lottery shipments, personnel screening, visitors, incident reports, medical/emergency response, prize balancing.
Coordination with proposals department, scheduling, travel arrangements and on time delivery of bid proposals entrusted to uniformed security staff.
Utilizes WorkDay, Sterling and Thompson Reuters CLEAR applications as part of personnel onboarding, contractor clearances and access issuance tasks.
Understands the definition of PII and protects PII handled, processed, and otherwise entrusted to the security department to corporate policy standards.

Education and/or Experience:
Previous law enforcement, military, private security and or related gaming industry experience preferred with a proven track record of employee management capability. The Security Manager must have working knowledge and ability to establish guidelines, best practices and procedures for security system usage by the uniformed security staff.
