Position Overview
The Global Marketing Manager for Biopharma will be responsible for developing strategic and tactical global marketing programs, aligned with the objectives of the business and regional sales and marketing, to drive global demand generation and increase win rate . The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong understanding of the Biopharma market and in particular gene therapy and nucleic acids , including technologies, trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics. The role will focus on leveraging that knowledge to build positioning, messaging, content, and integrated outbound marketing campaigns to establish a strong footprint for SCIEX to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Develop and lead strategic global marketing programs centered around Biopharma, strengthening SCIEX’s footprint, growing market visibility, and improving brand awareness.
Drive creation of value propositions and competitive differentiated positioning for key SCIEX products and workflows based on deep understanding of customer pain points, needs, and buying criteria.
Develop messaging and creative identity for SCIEX Biopharma, and ensure alignment with the corporate brand hierarchy, business initiatives and strategies.
Devise integrated global marketing campaigns to fuel demand generation, build awareness and preference, increase win rate, and promote customer retention.
Lead the development of marketing and sales collateral and content, both physical and digital, needed for sales support and outbound campaigns; drive adoption globally.
Establish and monitor relevant metrics and analytics to ensure marketing strategies, programs, and activities are executed effectively and delivering impact across marketing channels and regions.
Understand regional market dynamics and requirements and utilize to continuously improve global marketing strategy.
Continuously evolve and improve marketing programs to optimize performance and improve ROI; robustly manage marketing budget based on results and outcomes.
Implement standard work and communications to maintain global and regional marketing team alignment.
Serve as a brand ambassador, working together with the cross-functional team to ensure marketing programs and materials align to and strengthen the global SCIEX brand.
Education and Work Experience:
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences ; MS or PhD preferred; demonstrated training and/or experience in marketing, business administration, or related field a strong plus
5 years’ experience in life sciences marketing, sales, and/or technical support roles with customer and account experience
Broad understanding of mass spectrometry technology and Biopharma ; technical competency in one or more specific mass spec application areas highly desired
Demonstrated ability to translate market knowledge into impactful and differentiating value propositions, aligned to target customer personas
Strong technical and creative writing skills, with the ability to turn complex concepts into clear and impactful positioning and messaging for sales and marketing content and campaign development
Required Capabilities:
Ability to perform exceptionally in fast paced, performance-oriented environment
Experience working in a global environment and in a matrix managed organization
Skilled in market research and VOC; strong analytical skills
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities and changing business needs.
