Responsibilities
The Western Regional Manager supports the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services region office by performing the following tasks, but not limited to, for Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, and San Francisco Field Offices:
- Day-to-day Records Operations for all three field offices
- Responsible for and monitoring of the data entry, fee collection/processing, mail and file operations, and quality control processes to ensure compliance with the DHS FOSS Contract
- Day-to-day planning and for coordination with other Contract Supervisors and Quality Control personnel
- Directs, assists, and provides guidance to the Contract Supervisors in the various functional areas, establishing priorities and reallocating resources as needed to meet the goals established by DHS
- Maintains liaison with local DHS management personnel and Contract staff
- Reports to the Program Manager and communicates routinely with the Deputy Program Manager
- Responsible for timely delivery of all deliverables (i.e., timesheets, Bi-monthly reports, Monthly Status Reports)
- Must be able to perform under pressure and be detail-oriented
- Ability to motivate employees and instill a team environment.
- Daily tasks may require sitting or standing for long periods of time
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- Must have at least three (3) years direct records management experience and at least two (2) years specialized experience in directing a records management program
- No substitution of education for specialized experience is permitted
- A bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field of experience is required
- Professional membership in records or management organizations preferred
- The Western Regional Manager must have excellent oral and written English skills, and be computer literate
- Must be a U.S. citizen, and able to obtain a Public Trust/Suitability Clearance under the Department of Homeland Security from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services
- Experience in coordinating with USCIS Field Offices
- Experience handling complex, sensitive and urgent casework
- Travel would be required to the various Western Regional offices at least 4 times a year
- There is a physical requirement to lift 45 lbs. or more consistently
- Mobility is frequent throughout the file room by moving on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for moving files to and from work site. The shelving of files also creates the need to be able to lift boxes overhead
