Position Summary

Job Summary:

Manage a group of Software Engineers responsible for design, implementation, and maintenance of mobile based games. This role requires a forward thinking, critical problem solver who can communicate across the organization.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Identify relevant platforms and develop deployment strategy
  • Facilitate deployment of content across identified platforms
  • Develop project schedules and monitor project progress in conjunction with management
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members as needed for completion of work items
  • Lead the development of new/innovative game play features and interfaces
  • Lead the development of features for use in SciPlay’s common code libraries (framework, featurettes, OS) as needed for game implementation
  • Consult or Facilitate on cross-platform common software architecture and software control management
  • Write coherent, organized code and be comfortable working on a complicated code-base with high levels of abstraction
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on new programming methods and new software technologies

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Statistics or relevant area or equivalent experience

Required Experience:

  • 8 years of software experience 3 years of experience in cross-platform software architecture
  • Strong Object Oriented programming skills
  • 3 Years Management Experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of the Unity Graphics GUI
  • Understanding of basic database operations and SQL
  • Experience with OGRE, Unity 3D, or other 3D engines, 3D math, and Cg shaders
  • Familiarity with CVS, SVN or other version control software

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • C#, C , and/or PHP
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Scaling experience
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Casual games development experience
  • Solid math skills, linear algebra, trig, etc

Vision: Close Vision, Depth Perception, Distance Vision, Ability to Adjust Focus, Peripheral Vision, Ability to Distinguish All Colors

Physical Requirements: Office environment

Work Conditions: May require weekend and evening hours. May require travel.
