Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide oral hygiene instructions to patients
- Perform dental charting and documentation
- Assist with pediatric dental procedures
- Utilize medical coding for billing purposes
- Conduct patient assessments and record vital signs
- Maintain and update electronic medical records using Epic software
- Operate computer-aided design (CAD) systems for dental prosthetics
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a dental assistant training program or equivalent experience
- Certification in dental assisting preferred
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing practices
- Familiarity with pediatric dental procedures and techniques
- Proficiency in using Epic software for medical documentation
- Ability to take and develop dental x-rays
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
