As a Business Systems Analyst you will work closely with the Head of Information Systems to implement process change throughout the Company.
Your role will involve delivering business solutions and requirements in line with the business demands through continuous improvement. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, modify, enhance or adapt existing systems, while integrating new features and improvements. This role requires strong BSA skills and technical proficiency. The ideal candidate will be able to understand the overall scope of a project /task while also understanding the functional requirements. The ability to understand the “Why?” as well as the “How?”
This role will be based from Ireland or the UK working with stakeholders from Ireland, the UK and the US. The jobholder should have the flexibility and desire for travel with this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and deliver Business Solutions and requirements in line with the business demands through continuous improvement. Ensure the solutions are practical, achievable, cost effective and meet company objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritise business requirements for system enhancements and new projects.
- Analyse existing business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and optimization.
- Design and document system requirements, including data models, user interfaces, workflows, and integration points.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, system specifications, and process flowcharts.
- Coordinate and support the implementation of new systems and software, including data migration and user training.
- Provide a key link between the business and IS for change implementation, ensuring effective communication within the business are followed.
- Provide ongoing support to business users, troubleshoot system issues, and implement enhancements as needed.
- Manage relationships with software vendors, including contract negotiation, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance monitoring.
- Analyse data to extract meaningful insights and provide recommendations for data-driven decision-making.
- Working on the automation and integration of existing and new systems
- Providing regular progress reports to management.
- Delivering weekly RAG status updates to management.
- Provision of expert guidance and support to the business, including training delivery
Qualifications
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with the full project lifecycle
- Strong business analyst skills to accurately determine business requirement
- Extensive experience of systems analysis and implementation of software systems
- Naturally analytical approach to work and systematic approach to problem-solving
- A methodical approach and attention to detail to ensure the development and implementation of effective solutions
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication skills to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Good interpersonal and client/stakeholder-handling skills, with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical details.
- Experience with CRM systems in a commercial / business environment is a key requirement.
- Experience with an ERP system and Business Intelligence are desirable.
- The candidate should be willing to travel to the Crawley Office occasionally (est 10-12 per year max).
