What are the responsibilities and job description for the Local Delivery Driver position at SCOTLYNN USA DIVISION, INC?
Responsibilities and Duties:
Driving Florida intra-state; Delivering and unloading at multiple stops daily
Use manual pallet jack and/or hand truck to move product upwards of 200 feet to client dock. (No bump and dock)
Recording and maintaining hours in logbook
Reporting to dispatcher for load instructions, check-calls, pick-ups, deliveries, and any incidents (accidents, vehicle damage, traffic violations etc.)
Following all applicable traffic laws
Inspecting trailer before pick-up and after delivery, recording any defects
Verifying load matches paperwork prior to leaving for the route
Maintaining truck and keeping all associated equipment clean and in optimal working condition
Following appropriate safety procedures for transporting commodities
Properly securing commodities for transport
Examining bills of lading (BOLS) and all load-related documents for assignment details and accuracy
Obtaining seal numbers for loaded commodities and receipts or signatures for delivered commodities
