What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Control Manager position at Scotsman Group LLC?
1. Manage the master schedule, production plan, and validate capacity. Resolve conflicts not meeting the constraints set by the production plan.
2. Manage inbound raw materials to support master production schedule, inventory objectives and customer service levels.
3. Issue vendor releases for raw material purchases. Maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
4. Direct activities of materials planners to ensure on time delivery of purchase parts and control excess transportation charges accepted by the plant.
5. Participate in Sales & Operations Planning process including manufacturing resource planning.
6. Ensure coordination of production schedules with Customer Service and Logistics to meet the needs of the external customers.
7. Establishes inventory levels of finished goods.
8. Work with Purchasing on supplier development to lower total product cost.
9. Ensures staff has a complete working knowledge of the key materials processes, including measures, and interactions between functions, suppliers, and customers.
10. Ability to develop personnel and work groups into high performing teams by visible leadership among all levels of associates.
11. Facilitate continual improvement of business processes.
12. Ensure verification schedules and procedures are being followed to comply with operational and financial requirements.
13. Design and execute strategies and plans to meet short and long-term supply chain management requirements.
14. Responsible for setting strategic direction on assigned categories/projects with supporting goals, plans and metrics which will lead to significant favorable impact on cash flow and operating income.
