REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree or equivalent.
Three (3) years of project management or similar experience.
Microsoft Office Products experience.
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Project Manager (PM) is responsible for completing projects by a set of deadlines to uphold business initiatives. The duties include managing scope to defined requirements, driving out milestones and tasks, managing to budget and managing all risks and issues associated with project.
This role will partner with the Lending and Retail Operations management to support their business unit projects. The Project Manager will create a clear process of assigned tasks, milestones, and deadlines, to allow teams to respond to issues with greater agility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Demonstrates superior inter-personal skills, conflict resolution and negotiating skills.
- Fosters open and recurring dialogue with business units (project owners) to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications as outlined throughout the business case and project lifecycle.
- Creates and maintains an environment with consistent and repeated practices for project management that are continually used throughout the organization. Proactively communicates with staff and serves as a liaison with business partners to remain current on status updates, issue tracking and at-risk timelines.
- Champions and facilitates the weekly Project Management meeting to ensure dialogue remains constant on new and existing projects. Reports project delivery status, resource capacity and member impact analysis.
- Accountable for project tracking software, training associated with this software and any strategic direction required to initiate, track, and execute SCU’s initiatives.
- Ensures each phase of the project lifecycle is complete and all appropriate results have been verified and documented in the project software.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to requests associated with the project management. Maintains a strategic view of the project and proactively identifies issues and risk(s) that pose a threat to a seamless execution. Ensures a disciplined project culture is ongoing and consistent; one supported and adopted by all levels of the organization. Ability to play a consultative role and influential collaborator.
Maintains strict confidentiality of records and information. Uses diplomacy and tact in dealing with persons from outside and inside the organization. Must be professional in actions and appearance, organized and dependable. Position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and a positive attitude. Regular, predictable attendance is required.
Responsible to keep the following confidential as it pertains to SCU, member and employee information and is defined as the following:
- Financial record information, which includes but is not limited to the information contained in a document granting signature authority over an account, a statement, ledger card or other record on any account which shows each transaction in or with respect to that account, a check, draft or money order drawn on a financial institution or other entity or issued and payable by or through a financial institution or other entity or other item containing information pertaining to any relationship established in the ordinary course of business between SCU and its members;
- SCU business information, such as member lists, pricing, purchasing activity, business strategies or techniques, operational data, marketing materials and methods used to develop and maintain member relations.
Full Time - Monday through Friday. Weekends when necessary.

Edwardsville, IL headquarters Information Technology department; however, work location may change according to SCU staffing needs.
