PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
This position will serve as a liaison between departments/bureaus of various states and Scott employee owners to ensure licensing regulations are met to conduct business.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent organization, time management and follow up skills
- Ability to document detailed processes and maintain accurate records
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
- Confidence in working independently within a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to proficiently navigate the internet and Microsoft Office products
- Work with discretion and adherence to HIPAA and Cyber Security standards
- Ability to travel to other Scott offices
- Ability to work in an office environment
- Must be able to work on PC for extended period of times
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Obtain and renew agent and agency licenses
- Obtain and terminate agent and agency appointments
- Set up new employees with appropriate licenses and appointments
- Terminate agent licenses, appointments and affiliations when employees leave the agency
- Track agent continuing education compliance deadlines
- Assist with agency contracts and agency information requests
- Assist with agency corporate filings with Secretaries of State and Departments of Revenue
- Assist with surplus lines filings, taxes and filing reports for agents and agency
- Maintain integrity of license, appointment and contracts database and files
- Research state insurance laws and regulations when needed
- Communicate with state insurance departments/bureaus when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
