We are looking for an outgoing bartender who is interested in taking on a new challenge. Sushi by Scratch Restaurants is seeking a bartender who is capable of making delicious drinks, engaging guests, and helping to guide our visitors through a unique and delicious experience. With six currently operating outlets, and more on the way, this is a great opportunity for a bartender to join a team primed for growth!
Sushi by Scratch Restaurants is a unique fine dining restaurant, with 10 guests at a time, with an intimate experience of enjoying some of the best sushi and sake that money can buy. We're looking for somebody with creativity, a great personality, and willingness to go above and beyond for guests. Knowledge of Japanese spirits, sake and beer is helpful, but not required, if you're willing to learn! This is a Michelin starred concept coming into the location, and we are seeking employees with a desire to perform at a high level.
Compensation: $70,000 US / $95,000 CDN to $80,000 US / $108,000 CDN

Requirements:
- Experience in a related position in a restaurant or bar.
- Basic English reading and communication skills.
- Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in multi-tasking in dynamic situations.
- Knowledge of weights, measurements, volume and cooking procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
- Continuous use of hands and arms.
- Continuous bending, reaching and twisting.
- Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus.
- Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise.
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards.
- Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation.
- Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately.
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
