Scribe Therapeutics is a molecular engineering company focused on creating best-in-class in vivo therapies that permanently treat the underlying cause of disease. Founded by CRISPR inventors and leading molecular engineers Benjamin Oakes, Brett Staahl, David Savage, and Jennifer Doudna, Scribe is overcoming the limitations of current genome editing technologies by developing custom engineered enzymes and delivery modalities as part of a proprietary, evergreen CRISPR by Design™ platform for CRISPR-based genetic medicine.

We are seeking a People Specialist to support the company’s organizational growth, and to help build a forward-thinking, trusted, and well-rounded People Operations program that operationalizes our company values as we scale. This role will help implement our broad-based People systems, including learning and development programs, performance and employee relations management, and more. The ideal candidate is a people and outcomes-focused professional who is passionate about enriching and empowering employees to bolster organizational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage general day-to-day operations (new hires, benefit enrollment changes and terminations), benefits, and compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for changes and audits of personnel files including accuracy and maintenance; processing terminations; recommending improvements to employee-related policies
  • Help develop and implement HR policies, practices and procedures for managers, teams and individual employees that further the mission, values and strategic vision of the business
  • Continuously refining and facilitating an innovative, and welcoming new employee orientation and first-day experience for new team members
  • Responsible for coordination of mandated training, benefits enrollment, new hire requests and interview scheduling. 

 

Required Skills and Background:

  • Strong understanding of People Ops/HR processes and programs with 2-4 years of experience in People Ops or HR 
  • Expertise in systems including ADP or TriNet, G Suite, Microsoft Suite, and the demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technology
  • Proven planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Results-driven and comfortable working through ambiguous scenarios in order to find solutions with the ability to work independently 

 

Preferred Skills and Background:

  • Experience in Culture Amp
  • Understanding of employment law and other government compliance regulations (i.e. Workers Comp, FLSA, FMLA, etc.)
  • Customer centered and always thinking of ways to improve the employee experience
  • Able to operate effectively and comfortable working in a fast moving and constantly changing company

At the time of posting, the base pay wage range for this role will vary per hour.  The offered pay range will depend on internal equity and the candidate’s relevant skills, experience, qualifications, training, and market data.  Additional incentives are provided as part of the complete package in addition to comprehensive medical and other benefits.
