Job Descriptions:
SDAC is seeking an Operation Manager to assist with the day-to-day responsibility for all aspects of the operations, maintenance, and repair of the building equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will ensure all service requests, preventive maintenance, and any other mechanical, architectural, or structural tasks are performed in a timely and professional manner. In addition, ensure all operating equipment is functioning properly at the prescribed parameters of the contract and the Building Operations Plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-progress inspections, complete task inspections, develop schedules, provide training, and will generally oversee the custodial functions of the contract, with the assistance of the five custodial lead persons.
- The ability to supervise preventive maintenance on all operational and mechanical equipment and the knowledge to operate related electrical equipment and machinery as required.
- Supervise all journeyman crafts persons and engineering and custodial staff.
- Will provide training and guidance to subordinates.
- Ensure all work is accomplished in a satisfactory manner and all documentation is properly completed and returned to the work control center for a timely and accurate closeout and final inspection.
- Must have experience in the operations and operator maintenance of all BAS systems present at the buildings and can receive professional training on all upgrades and/or new versions as they are provided by the GSA at the buildings.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work safely.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
