Job Purpose:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing detailed, comprehensive analysis on all components of Sea Box's revenue, expenses and balance sheet positions. This position is heavily involved in the yearly budget and monthly forecasting process.

Job Summary:
The ideal candidate can facilitate preparation and review of all budgets and forecast processes, can prepare analysis of current vs. proposed operations, and can provide timely and concise recommendations to improve results and performance.

Responsibilities:
• Retrieves, analyzes, and consolidates quantitative and qualitative data required for all financial aspects of manufacturing operation with the ability to clearly and concisely explain to non-financial professionals in a variety of positions.
• Capable of managing, combining, extracting and analyzing large sets of data with the ability to draw meaningful conclusions.
• Exhibits a good understanding of accounting principles and can apply these principles towards data analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and Sea Box's monthly closing process.
• Heavily participates in the yearly budget and monthly forecasting processes, can analyze actual variances thereto, and is capable of determining, designing and implementing necessary changes to said processes.
• Assists with yearly financial audit.
• Assists operations teams in implementing and maintaining proper business and controlling practices related to cost management; in doing so, will educate the team and increase communication across departments.
• Capable of making, implementing, and supporting decisions with respect to the configuration of Sea Box's ERP systems.
• Develop a deep understanding off all Sea Box financial supporting systems in order to streamline the data flow between systems and automate as much as possible.
• Ad hoc tasks, as required.
• Accident prevention – actively identify, correct and/or report safety hazards to prevent accidents.
• Actively identify and pursue cost reduction and efficiency/profit improvement opportunities.
• Support the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and the Sea Box Quality Policy calling for self-inspection of your work product.
• Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

Education: B.S. in Accounting or Finance
Experience: At least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing business. Experience at a manufacturing plant is a plus. CPA/CFA preferred. Progress towards CPA/CFA is acceptable.
