What are the responsibilities and job description for the LIFEGUARD P/T position at Sea Pines Country Club?
Sea Pines Country Club, a private club located on the South end of Hilton Head, is currently looking for part-time lifeguards to work starting in mid-May and work through August (seasonal position). Lifeguard and CPR certification required.

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Lifeguard: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- First Aid/CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Lifeguard Training (Required)
Additional Responsibilities:
- Supervises and observes swimmers at all times to ensure their safety.
- Administers to minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises of swimmers.
- Checks first aid supplies and reports needed items.
- Assists in organizing clinics, youth camp and private swimming lessons for members as directed by the Fitness Director.
- Enforces rules of conduct.
- Sets up the deck chairs and umbrellas at the beginning of the day and tidies up and breaks down chairs and umbrellas at the end of the day.
- Organizes and monitors pool games at all times; suggests pool side games.
- Places rescue tube and ring buoy on the lifeguard chair in the morning and at the end of the day returns these and all swimming aids to the indoor pool.
- Tests pool chemicals and records numbers in DHEC book on weekends and as otherwise requested by Pool & Fitness Director or other coworker.
- Puts out towels at the beginning of family swim time and assists in towel laundry as necessary.
- Maintains all necessary records determined by the Swimming Pool Manager.
- Attends all meetings as directed by the Swimming Pool Manager.
- Staffs the annual 4th of July Pool Party and assists other staff in implementing pool and poolside games.
