Position: Construction Estimator

Location: San Dimas, CA, USA

Pay: $30- $35

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for commercial construction projects (residential and subcontractor estimating experience does not qualify). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial estimating, with an extensive list of subcontractors for all trades, and the ability to negotiate contracts and pricing.

Duties

• - Prepare detailed and accurate construction estimates for various commercial projects.
• - Analyze blueprints, plans, and specifications for take-off to estimate construction costs
• - Negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
• - Utilize construction estimating software to prepare estimates and manage project data
• - Conduct site visits to gather information and inspect construction sites
• - Develop and maintain relationships with clients and contractors
• - Keep accurate records of project costs, expenses, and progress
• - Conduct price analyses and compare bids from various subcontractors
  
  

Requirements

• - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Estimating, or a related field is highly desirable
• - Proven experience in construction estimating
• - Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and labor costs
• - Extensive list of subcontractors for all trades
• - Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• - Proficiency in construction estimating software, including Bluebeam and Procore
• - Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• - Experience with contract negotiations
• - Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage complex projects
• - Physical stamina to perform site visits and other tasks in a construction environment
• - A strong understanding of construction management principles and practices
• - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• - A valid driver's license, full coverage insurance, and reliable transportation are required when driving the applicant's vehicle for company purposes.
