What you get to do: As a Server at Sunny Day Café (Dine with Me) in Sesame Place San Diego, you will serve delicious meals and beverages while creating memorable experiences for our guests. All while interacting with families and children in a warm and friendly atmosphere. You will, also, have the exciting opportunity to: Enthusiastically greet and welcome guests Provide exceptional guest service, ensuring the needs of children and families are met. Knowledge of the restaurant's menu items and provide recommendations to guests; Provide information to guests on food & beverage products being offered Take and input orders accurately, and communicate special requests to the kitchen. Deliver food and beverages to tables, verifying order accuracy. Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and check IDs as required. Help maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment. Assist in restaurant cleanliness and table setup. Collaborate with restaurant staff to create a smooth dining experience. Address and resolve guest concerns or complaints professionally. Contribute to a dynamic and fun work environment while upholding the highest standards of guest service. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Follow proper transaction procedures; Operate POS register Prepare/carry vending trays Working in the back of the house What it takes to succeed: Must be 21 years of age or older due to alcohol service requirements. Tray experience preferred Previous server or food and beverage experience is a plus. Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, family-friendly environment. Ability to learn/use point of sale (POS register) systems Friendly and outgoing personality, especially when interacting with children. Ability to walk and stand extensively Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities. Flexibility in work schedule, including weekends and holidays. ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training is a plus.
