What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3 PL SHIPPING COORDINATOR DAILYS PREMIUM MEATS position at SEABOARD CORPORATION?
SUMMARY: This role will be focused on maintaining the inventory between Daily’s and our outside 3PL storage locations, as well as communicating with them on the orders. This role will be an office clerical role working in the systems and through email and calls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following: (other duties may be assigned)
- Coordinate the pick sheets for loads shipping out of the 3PL locations of both frozen and fresh.
- Monitor and ordering of Matrix pallets back to Daily’s.
- Coordinate frozen inventory needed and which can be returned to 3PL.
- Help with reconciliation of 3PL inventory with Daily’s weekly.
- Attend meetings pertaining to outside inventory levels.
- Build positive relationships with 3PL contacts.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school or equivalent education with recordkeeping and/or inventory experience, or combination of education and experience. Food industry experience is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to effectively present information before groups, within the organization. Bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations. Ability to perform necessary calculations for completion of row counts for shipping and daily time sheets.
OTHER SKILLS: Must be computer literate with experience in Office 365. Intermediate skills in Excel are necessary for the position.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to make decisions on routine matters utilizing company policies and procedures and directions from upper management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have adequate eyesight and hearing to be able to recognize hazards to equipment and personnel.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely works in an office setting but may be asked to retrieve information from the shipping areas. When needed to be on the floor, an employee may be near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions.
When on the shipping floor, the noise level in the work environment is usually at a level where OSHA requires hearing protection.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. Must be available to work as scheduled – including weekends.
