Our Guymon, Oklahoma, processing facility has an exciting Research Technician opportunity. In this position, the technician is responsible for consistently and accurately capturing research test data for corporate, animal operations, and processing projects. The data is used to make system and product specification changes and implement new technology in a harvest facility. This position will perform audits following all food and workplace safety protocols and guidelines.

Required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in engineering or science-related field or two years experience in a protein processing facility
- Experience in manufacturing and food service industry.
- Intermediate in Microsoft Office; Word and Excel.
- Proficient in English, writing, reading, and speaking.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- Production knife skills, including wizard knife.
- Good critical thinking and judgment skills to reach the best possible solution to a problem.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility.
- The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- This position will primarily work on the production floor, requiring proper personal protective equipment, including hearing and eye protection.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work near moving mechanical parts in hot, cold, wet, and damp conditions and will be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and vibration.
- The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
