POSITION SUMMARY :

The Facilities Helper (Building) is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance on sinks toilets, hand wash stations, outside grounds equipment, etc.

The Facilities Helper (Building) is also responsible for performing light carpentry, plumbing, painting, etc. This position can be utilized as a developmental role to allow the selected candidate to further develop his / her mechanical aptitude in preparation for potential future advancement opportunities in the Maintenance group.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on sinks, toilets, hand wash stations, water heaters, outside grounds, etc.

2. Perform office area general maintenance and repairs

3. Interpret drawings and lay out of facilities equipment

4. Support Facilities Craft in the maintenance and repair of facilities equipment and systems

5. As a team member, follow all safety, quality, and safe quality food (SQF) rules

6. Performs other duties as directed by supervisor

COMPENSATION :

EXPERIENCE :

Previous maintenance helper experience preferred but not required

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE NEEDED :

Strong mechanical aptitude

Basic carpentry skills

Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

Ability to read voltage meters

Basic cutting & grinding skills

Ability to read schematics a plus

EDUCATION :

High School Diploma or GED required

OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be well organized, and be a team player.

Computer knowledge (SAP, Excel, Word)

Good oral and written skills

Good organization skills

Good interpersonal skills
