Seaport Law Group is a small immigration law firm in Redwood City, along the water. We handle family-based immigration, business litigation, naturalization, humanitarian relief, and personal bankruptcy. We are seeking an immigration paralegal or legal assistant.

Job duties include:

  • Assisting with forms and document preparation for family-based immigration cases, including following up directly with clients;
  • Assisting with VAWA and U-visa cases by helping with client declarations and with forms;
  • Assisting with preparation of naturalization applications by drafting forms and following up with clients;
  • Compiling exhibit lists and compiling exhibits for business immigration visa applications;
  • Scanning mail and preparing draft emails for clients;
  • Utilizing immigration software management program to track immigration receipts, prepare immigration forms, track case progress;
  • Contacting USCIS customer service to follow up with overdue client cases;
  • Preparing drafts of online forms for consular processing;
  • Assisting attorneys with tracking deadlines, and status of client matters.

Must be computer literate. Typing, writing, and organizational skills required. We use Docketwise, but are willing to train on this software.

Fluent Spanish speaker required. Prefer someone with a paralegal certificate, or currently studying to be a paralegal.

Casual office on the water, with friendly office labradoodle.

Salary is dependent upon experience and paralegal certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
