What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safari Team Lead position at SeaQuest?
Our goal at SeaQuest is to ensure guests have a one-of-a-kind experience interacting with animals from all over the world. SeaQuest is looking for a Safari Team Lead who will enhance the guest experience by creating a warm, inviting, and energetic environment throughout the aquarium. The Safari Team Lead is responsible for assisting customers and reports directly to the Safari Team Manager.
Safari Team Lead Responsibilities:
- Offer specials promoted by SeaQuest, explain products in the gift shop and, assist customers with selecting merchandise
- Assist with inventory
- Ensure store visual merchandising and presentation standards are implemented
- Up-sell products and activities to elevate the guest experience
- Required to work with animals
- Help create shift schedules for department rotations
Requirements
Safari Team Lead Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in a retail environment
- Third-key or Shift manager experience preferred
- A theme park, zoo, science center, or attraction background preferred
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively
- Cheerful, positive attitude with a willingness to be a team player
- POS experience
- Experience with animals is a plus
Education:
- A degree in the related field is preferred but not necessary
Schedule:
- Full-time
- Monday-Friday
