Responsibilities/Functions:
- Review and understand standard all aspects of the purchase contracts.
- Review and understand title search notes and title commitments
- General knowledge of clouded title issues and ability to communicate those issues/resolution of those issues effectively to the clients
- Knowledge of how to process transactions with divorce, probate, LLC, construction loans, trusts, etc.
- Communication with all parties of the transactions (realtors, buyers/borrowers, sellers, loan officers, lender closing departments, etc.)
- Obtain information regarding to the transaction and input information correctly into all software programs
- Ordering of curative items related to the transaction (HOA/COA dues, mortgage payoffs, deeds, surveys, etc.)
- Communicate and coordinate closing times and locations with all parties
- General knowledge of CD/HUD preparation
- Understanding and ability to communicate final numbers on the CD/HUD
- Review lenders closing instructions and lender documents for accuracy
- General knowledge of Post-closing and funding processes
- Answer phones
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an escrow officer.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
