Role Overview
Leading our Business Development team at Search Discovery, this role will be focused on the strategic growth of the organization. The Business Development Lead is responsible for leading full-cycle sales and new lead generation through efficient leadership and management of our business development team members. 

What you need to have 

  • 5 years experience in selling data services, including data strategy, analytics programs and analytics implementations to key stakeholders, including Directors, VP, SVP and C suite. 
  • 10 years experience in selling B2B services. 
  • 5 years experience in a sales team leadership role. 
  • Proven ability to articulate the value and business impact of analytics, digital marketing and optimization solutions.
  • An established network of existing relationships in the analytics and digital marketing industry.
  • Ability to be successful in a remote environment

What you’ll be doing 

  • Focus on the development and growth of the SDI business through building relationships in the industry, identifying opportunities (net new clients/partners), completing business deals and entering new markets, and more.
  • Play a leadership role within the business by managing the growth strategy and all growth activities across the United States.
  • Oversee the generation of proposals tailored to specific client needs, articulating SDI specific value propositions and supporting SDI profitability targets.
  • Execute outreach strategies by prospecting new businesses with a target on specific vertical markets including retail, healthcare, consumer packaged goods and others.
  • Conduct regular performance, marketing and competitive analyses for the business in order to identify business opportunities and avail insights for strategic decision-making. 
  • Provide leadership and vision to the business development team, helping enable them to achieve their sales goals. 
  • Activate and enable the team through development, fostering high engagement, and creating a sense of belonging.

What you need to achieve 

  • Ensure the BD team can articulate and sell our full solutions offerings.
  • Lead the BD team to close $10-15M in new business in 2022.
  • Focus the team on winning new accounts in 1H of 2022 - target 30-50
