Requirements :
High School or Equivalent Diploma
Must be able to pass a level II AHCA background screening.
At Seashore Senior Living, we have an immediate opening for an activities coordinator in our facility. This is a very important position, as you will be directly impacting our residents' daily activities that bring entertainment, challenge, and assistance to their lives.
At Seashore, our team is a family, and we are looking for a new team member that can be depended on to show up and serve our residents with an enthusiastic, service-minded attitude and good communication skills.
As a Seashore Activities Coordinator, you will :
Facilitate activities for our facility, Monday through Friday, with potential weekend hours as well.
Create and execute monthly engagement and activities calendars
Assist with planning and coordinating various activities, discussion groups, and clubs.
Plan holiday parties and birthday parties for our residents.
Prepares and distributes the monthly calendar, weekly reminders, event flyers, newsletters, and other promotional material for Assisted Living.
Directs volunteer activities and provides training.
Maintains accurate documentation of residents’ activity attendance.
Researches upcoming events and trips.
Document’s activity portion of the service plan for each resident.
Report changes in residents to Administrator / Health Services Director.
Other duties as needed
The ideal candidate will have :
One year of relevant experience working in an assisted living environment.
The ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
A heart for working with senior adults and their families.
