Job description
Seaside Mulch manufactures and packages mulch and soil products. For over 26 years, we have been a leader in lawn and garden products. The Seaside Mulch brand is available in box stores, and Seaside Mulch is known for its quality products and innovation.
We are looking for laborers for our packaging plant. Candidates must be highly motivated and dependable.
Responsibilities
- Operating packaging and palletizer machinery including set ups, change overs, maintenance, end-of-day and clean up, as well as set up for the following day
- Stacking mulch and soil bags
- Counting and measuring finished goods
- Routine maintenance and repairs of machines
- Keep a clean and safe work area
- Minimize costs and waste
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Skills
- Ability to understand machine operation and maintenance manuals
- Follow and document quality control procedures and guidelines
- Understand and follow all safety precautions
- Maintenance experience with mechanical aptitude a plus
- Experience with robotics, automation and/or warehouse experience a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Organization and attention to detail
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to climb and descend ladders
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
