As a Staff Accountant on our team, you will be primarily responsible for performing general ledger accounting tasks, focused on journal entries and reconciliations. You’ll work closely with our Accounting team and other cross-functional teams to handle a broad range of professional accounting functions involving the application of established accounting standards, principles, and practices.
Your key responsibilities:
- Preparation and entry of basic level journal entries into ERP
- Prepare account reconciliations
- Ensure timely preparation of wires and ACH payments to vendors
- Filing and archiving of accounting documents, including creation of new binders and files as needed
- Pull and copy auditor selections for review by Finance Management
- Assist in the preparation of reports and analysis
Who you are
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- College degree, preferably in Finance/Business Administration - preferred
- 1-3 years GL experience
- An understanding of the basic matching principles of accounting, specifically prepaids, accounts payable and accrued expenses
- Detail oriented with the ability to investigate and resolve problems
- Ability to analyze and reconcile financial data
- Hands on experience with ERP, such as Oracle or SAP
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through written correspondence with all levels of peers and leadership at SeaSpine and vendors
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work creatively, prioritize and smoothly manage goals and initiatives amidst competing priorities
- Critical thinker with strong attention to detail, and ability to problem solve and establish solutions in a high-growth and fast-pace environment
- Experience with ORACLE ERP or other large ERP system - preferred
