The Role

We are scaling quickly and searching for a Director of Finance to join our Finance team. You will report directly to our VP of Finance and work closely with teams across the business.  As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting, billing, and the accounting functions at Seated.  You will work closely with our VP of Finance to help build out Seated’s Finance function and team.

We have an office in New York, being located in NYC is preferred but we are open to remote locations.

What You'll Do

• Own the monthly close process, accounts payables, financials, and receivables and partner with the VP of Finance on internal reporting to leadership and key stakeholders.
• Overall responsibility for the financial statements, accounting, and billing processes for the organization
• Manages financial planning, forecasting,  budgeting, and developing appropriate financial targets and KPIs
• Lead the accounting system transition for the organization 
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional departments
• Support Finance & Operations team with special projects as needed

What you’ll bring:

• 4-6  years in a finance position, preferably in a fast-paced consumer-facing technology environment
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Good knowledge of the financial statements
• Ability to build strong relationships with other business departments
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Good accounting knowledge base
• Experience with accounting software
• Experience  integrating accounting systems with financial systems across a company
• Proficiency in Microsoft office and financial systems and software
• An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
• CPA or MBA a plus
