What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cycle Counter position at Seats?
The Inventory Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and locational integrity. This position involves taking physical counts, recording counts and recounting variances, and validating location records within the assigned cycle count area. The work environment includes Seats’ manufacturing plants(s) and warehouse(s), often at heights, in and around productions centers, and routinely communicating with other people.
Responsibilities
- Good working knowledge of inventory and cycle count functions.
- Performs daily cycle counts on all warehouse inventories.
- Reconciles differences by analyzing receipts, issues, items in wrong locations, and unreported scrap.
- Notifies appropriate supervisors of incorrect practices that have caused incorrect counts.
- Maintains location control through movement of inventory among locations, establishing permanent locations, and revising/deleting locations as required.
- Investigates negative quantities, adjusts quantities as required, and identifies reasons for locations being driven to negative.
- Actively works with others to improve our inventory accuracy and location system.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Excellent attendance.
- Good working knowledge of inventory and cycle count functions.
- High attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Able to interact with people from both warehouse and office effectively.
- Strong team player.
- Forklift experience preferred, but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
Frequent climbing, bending, twisting and/or lifting approximately 20 - 25 pounds will be required. Frequent walking, carrying and distributing parts among several plant locations is required. Comfort with working at heights required.
Hours
8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday with overtime possible
