What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shift Administrator position at Seattle Children's Hospital?

Responsibilities

Provide management and leadership to support all hospital staff in their delivery of safe, timely, appropriate patient and family care. Facilitate interdisciplinary communication, decision making and teamwork, cost efficient resource allocation, and ensure appropriate expeditious patient access and flow. In partnership with all unit and department management, utilizes PDCA and CPI methodology to identify areas for quality improvement, customer service, and safety in alignment with unit, department, and hospital goals. Responsible for the direction of all medical center activities in the absence of other management and administrative staff during evenings, weekends and holidays. #LI-MO1

Requirements

Required Education/Experience: - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. - Minimum 5 years as a pediatric nurse. - Minimum 3 years of leadership experience. Required Credentials: - Current Washington State RN license. - At time of hire: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is required for all positions. Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Providers. Current BLS must be obtained until PEARS is obtained (see below). - As a condition of employment: All Shift Administrators are required to successfully obtain PEARS within 3 months of employment. Current PEARS is to be maintained at all times. - National certification in a clinical specialty area must be obtained within three years of employment. Preferred: - Masters degree

Min to Max Hourly Salary

$63.20 - $94.80 /hr

Min to Max Annual Salary

$131,456.00 - $197,184.00 /yr

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

Seattle Children’s offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
