Salary Range: $37,788.00 - $50,232.00 Annually (Done on Experience)

As a Program Coordinator, you will be a key member of South's Enrollment Services team that services students, faculty, and staff in order to successfully enroll students and manage their records. In this role you will provide exemplary service to students by facilitating student application processing, registration, fulfilling transcript requests, maintaining student records, and assistance with navigating our college and making them feel welcome and valued.

What you will be working on:
  • You'll work with a dedicated Enrollment Services team to assist students with hard copy and online web admissions and processes, ensuring our college achieves our mission to provide open access, student centered support and responsive service.
  • Coordinate and collaborate across multiple student services departments (financial aid, workforce, cashiering, welcome center, and advising) to support student registration, enrollment, and retention.
  • Share responsibility of answering incoming telephone/zoom calls and assist callers with accurate information in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with online, in-person and batch quarterly registration.
  • Enter, change, and update student information in the student management system (ctcLink/PeopleSoft).
  • Possess a working knowledge of the staff and functions of other student services departments with the ability to appropriately refer students.
  • You'll lead efforts to advance equitable student success, including closing equity gaps, particularly with regard to race and ethnicity.
  • Throughout your work you'll demonstrate cultural humility and intercultural engagement, including an awareness and understanding of historically disadvantaged populations, and create an educational environment that affirms commitment to equity and diversity
  • Engage in special projects as assigned.


What you bring as a candidate: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)
  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two (2 years of work in a customer service industry or equivalent education/experience).
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and work independently under pressure within a multi-task environment.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with students, staff and faculty in a welcoming and professional manner, in person, by phone and by email.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral formats.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multi-ethnic and culturally diverse populations.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook) to prepare reports, compose business correspondence and respond to student email requests.
  • Experience applying a growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement to solve business challenges.
  • Database and/or computer systems experience OR demonstrated ability to adapt to and use new technologies.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform range of physical motions, exerting up to 25 pounds; lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds; standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, kneeling, squatting, and stooping; and traversing up and down stairs.
