SeaWeed Co. - Fulfillment Associate Lab Technician Job Description

As a Fulfillment Associate Lab Technician, you play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of product orders to both wholesale clients and SeaWeed Co. retail stores. You will also support the production team with the overall physical organization of finished products, hardware and packaging materials within the product vault and designated storage areas. Additionally, you will complete packaging and production related tasks as assigned and as time allows. You will need strong attention to detail and accuracy, as well as an eye for quality control. You will frequently multitask, work quickly and efficiently, and be adaptable to changing priorities and tasks as needed. You report directly to the Product Production Manager, working on a team with other technicians and team members to complete assigned tasks as directed.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the physical picking, packing and putting away of finished product orders, packaging and raw materials that flow through SeaSmoke Extracts, including weekly picking/packing of orders for SeaWeed Co. retail stores, supporting wholesale order fulfillment as needed, as well as organization and put-away of new receipts.
  • Manage the physical organization and movement of products and materials that flow in and out of SeaSmoke Extracts both within the product vault and other assigned storage areas.
  • Assist with manifesting of orders and receiving of products and materials within Dutchie/Metrc as needed.
  • Act as back-up coverage for the Wholesale Account Representative, covering basic duties in their absence, including order delivery and correspondence with customers
  • Package and label products including but not limited to cannabis flower, extracts, cartridges, tinctures and edibles to meet daily production schedule for SeaWeed Co.
  • Ensure 100% compliance involving proper weighing, data recording, product tracking and security throughout the entire packaging process
  • Perform quality assurance protocols including visual inspections to ensure all products meet SeaWeed Co. specifications and are properly labeled to Office of Cannabis Policy regulations.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of work spaces, equipment and lab
  • Operate lab equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
  • Assist in training other lab technicians on operating lab equipment in accordance with SOPs and safety guidelines
  • Supports the extraction team with raw material preparation/crushing as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be over 21
  • Individual Identification Card issued by the Office of Cannabis Policy of Maine
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a comparable manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in cannabis preferred but not required
  • Team player and experience working on a diverse team
  • High attention to detail and organization
  • Effective at completing monotonous activities while maintaining quality and minimal errors
  • Comprehension of basic instructions and feedback to perform job accurately and efficiently
  • Reading comprehension to follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manuals
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. repeatedly and up to 80 lbs. on occasion

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
