What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Shop Foreman position at Seay Oil Company?
Job Description:
Manage the daily productivity of each employee in the Fleet maintenance shop to complete tasks as assigned. Communicate daily with the Operations Manager to fully understand the priorities and projects needing completed / attended to in the shop by the given employees in the shop each day.
Communicating with vendors / sourcing parts.
Efficient / effective management of labor is an extremely desired skill for this position.
Safety is of HIGH PRIORITY when working or managing employees in the shop.
Organization and cleanliness is crutial in this role at Seay Oil Company in all aspects of our business, but mainly in the shop. This promotes safety and efficiency.
Types of tasks performed in the shop:
- General mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment
- Working on fuel trailers / fuel equipment
- Welding
- Fabricating
- Troubleshooting
- Knowledge of diesel engines
- Oil related equipment
- Loading / unloading of heavy equipment
- Pressure washing
- Painting
*We try to keep our work relatively light. We do not get into deep or heavy work regularly.*
Pay / Benefits:
Pay can be determinate of skills / resume / etc.
- $75,000 - $85,000 per year salary
