What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Guard position at Second Nature Brands, Inc.?
Second Natures warehouse team is rapidly growing, serving customers across the United States. The Security Guard at Second Nature will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment. The Security Guard will patrol and monitor premises and personnel via surveillance cameras, oversee the entrance and exit for employees, staff, vendors and visitors.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform routine patrols of the Warehouse
- Check the credentials and require metal detector entrance of all individuals that are entering the building
- Inspect the building, equipment, and access points as needed
- Identify potential safety risks and respond accordingly
- May provide first aid or other medical treatment in emergency situations
- Obtain help by following emergency action procedures & escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed
- Help prevent losses and damages by reporting irregularities
- Restrain trespassers, as needed
- Assist employees and visitors with any concerns they might have
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- 5 years of relevant experience is required
- Must present a friendly, positive, professional image to employees, supervisors, managers, and the general public
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform continuous physical exertion as needed
- Working knowledge of basic security techniques
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Ability to work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, rainy, day and/or night
