What are the responsibilities and job description for the SAP Administrator position at Second Nature Brands?
We are on a mission to grow Second Nature Brands 4x from $250MM to $1 B in the next 4 years through a combination of organic growth (increased distribution, e-commerce, and innovation) and through M&A. To ensure we're steady on that path, we created the SAP Administrator role. This position will support the SAP ERP system, and additional core applications, in system administration and effective operations.
This role is remote with some travel to SNB offices (Usually Metro Detroit area, but could include facilities in other states).
Essential Duties
- Review and maintain user access profiles according to company standards.
- Review and maintenance of application operations, including batch jobs, connections to 3rd-party applications, monitoring and resolution of system errors, and associated tasks.
- Administer transports of system configuration across application environments.
- Lead and assist in application configuration changes.
- Work with 3rd-party consultants for system implementation and changes, as required.
- Generate, review, and update documentation covering application administration.
- Develop standard processes, per industry best standards, for system administration.
- Participate in application change projects, including preparation and execution of test scripts and creation of test user IDs and controls.
- Manage change control for enterprise applications and ensure change processes are followed.
- Assist end users in problem resolution
Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in SAP application administration.
- Must have strong documentation skills (process documentation, solutions creation, troubleshooting docs, and using MS office applications.
- Experience working with industry standards, regulations, and guidelines in change management.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal customers, peers, and managers via documentation, telephone, and e-mail, etc.
- Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to contribute and thrive in a team environment.
- Travel as needed
