Lead Developer

Job Description:

Lead Developer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our collection software. This person will oversee software engineers and supervise their performance in fulfilling tasks that are needed to be complete. The Lead Developer would work closely with management but would report directly to the Director of IT.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for monitoring the works of the software engineers.
• Orients software engineers on how and what are the things need programming.
• Give advice to management when encountering a problem.
• Making sure that everyone has materials needed.
• Develops employees’ skills.
• Support improvements of the company.
• Responsible for implementing projects and ensures that works are done on time.

Requirements:

• Solid commitment to pre-production testing and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks with differing priorities.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, MS Excel, MS Visual Studio
• Knowledge with software development, testing, and release
• Familiarity with data storage, retrieval, and manipulation methods within both relational and non-relational database architectures.
• Capacity for troubleshooting data- or performance-related system issues using logical problem-solving methods and process of elimination.
• C#, Python, VBA, and/or batch scripting languages will also be a plus.

Qualifications:

• College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Experience required. Software Engineer/ Service Developer/Service Programmer or Software Design Engineer.
• Knowledge in using programs in creating software.
• Designing and installing programs is also needed.
• Ability to define and solve problems.

Knowledge in using HTML, JavaScript, MS windows, AJAX and other programs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay

• Austin, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
