The Security Systems Field Technician Role:
The Security Systems Field Technician position reports to the Vice President of the SAH, Inc. The Security Systems Field Technician performs on-site installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on various brands of Security Systems for our clients, including residential and small commercial businesses, many of which require stringent background clearances. This role also requires service, quality, and maintenance report documentation to be completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner. Our clients are exclusively located within the state of Pennsylvania, with the majority in Berks and surrounding counties. SAH, Inc. provides the Security Systems Field Technician with a company vehicle w/ AAA membership, a fuel card, a company-issued laptop, a company-issued tablet, a company-issued cell phone, and all necessary tools and training to complete the job duties.

A highly motivated team player with a passion for Security Systems who would like to contribute to the growth of the company. You are someone who wants to provide world class service to our customers through continued education and growth in the Life Safety industry. The position entails:
- Performing on-site service, installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on security systems including, but not limited to: Open Options, Lenel/UTC, DMP, Napco, Continental, AMAG, Panasonic, Bosch, Salient, Genetec, etc.
- Managing & performing software integration as needed
- Completing documentation of service, quality, and maintenance reports
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and operating manuals
- Providing limited product training to the customer for basic use of the security system
- Responding to system trouble calls primarily consisting of intrusion, building access, and video surveillance systems.
- Anything necessary to contribute to the continued success of SAH, Inc.!
Where You'll Be Located:
- You will be based out of our Corporate office in Reading, PA
- Travel to customer sites primarily within Berks and surrounding counties in the state of Pennsylvania will be necessary
- You must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and good driving record to drive a company vehicle
Requirements
What you need to know:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and minor data base management required
- Ability to operate a smartphone for communication, documentation, GPS, calendar, and other professional functions required
- Excellent customer service skills to interface with clients on-site required
- Multi-tasking and prioritization skills required
- Detail-oriented focus for documentation and thorough job completion required
- Strong organizational skills for tools, equipment, and documentation required
- Associate's degree in Electronics w/ basic electrical and electronic skills preferred
- 3-5 years of security systems installation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred, but we will hire for cultural fit and train for excellence
- Basic mechanical aptitude and use basic industry technician tools preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and operating manuals preferred
- Previous experience working with hand and power tools preferred
- Formalized manufacturer training in Open Options, Lenel/UTC, DMP, Napco, Continental, AMAG, Panasonic, Bosch, Salient, and/or Genetec security systems is a plus
- Training in general safety and quality systems awareness is a plus
