Position Summary

An exciting opportunity exists in Employer Benefit Solutions for a Customer Operations Analyst on the Client Implementation team. We are looking for an energetic and creative thinker, who enjoys project management and problem solving. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful management of changes and integrations for our large, sophisticated employers with diverse benefits and operations. You will work closely with internal and strategic channel partners to successfully manage key initiatives for current life and supplemental health clients including expanded benefit offerings and services, new technology, and administration changes.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Serve as the project manager for key initiatives for existing life and supplemental health clients, including new technology implementations, plan design changes, and enhanced benefit offerings:

  • Be the primary point of contact for the internal Securian team and channel partner during the implementation project, identifying changes to administrative processes and system interactions.
  • Manage team meetings, negotiate project deliverables and timing, resolve issues and coordinate communication for client projects.
  • Manage project plans and timelines, report on progress and maintain updates.
  • Work with internal partners to identify appropriate project team members, based on initiative.
  • Lead channel partner virtual teleconferences. Ensure decisions are well documented and communicated to all parties.
  • Collaborate with internal and external business partners to identify creative solutions to meet client expectations.
  • Continually look for ways to improve the quality and efficiency of the implementation process.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated project management skills with experience leading project teams and successfully executing projects to completion.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills to find solutions to a variety of obstacles and to ensure all aspects are handled in the most cost effective, customer-focused manner while meeting compliance requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interpret information and communicate business needs, schedules, project status, issues, risks, etc. to a wide audience. Strong spelling, grammar, proofreading, and editing skills.
  • Organization and planning skills to prioritize workload and adjust to changing priorities and meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and work with ambiguity for new project types and changes.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree program completion or similar.
  • Working knowledge of Group Insurance products.

Physical job requirements:

  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
  • Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to utilize telephone for approximately 1-4 hours per day
  • Ability to perform simple grasping including handwriting, paper manipulation, sorting, folding, etc. periodically throughout entire workday
