Description:
The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. A Security Officer acts as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions and detects and reports suspicious, unsafe, or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts, which may be a threat to the property, clients, guests, or employees at the site.
Monitor and protect the property from any hazard and damages; remain alert and aware of surroundings; secure all designated areas; enforce property rules; communicate effectively with the public and appropriate management; respond to common inquiries or complaints received by the public; check all perimeters; engage in securing property amenities; observe and report all unauthorized persons or unusual occurrences; complete daily activity log. Report all criminal activities to the police.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions.
- Ability to work and speak to the public.
- Ability to work effectively with personnel.
- Must be able to work Graveyard shift - 9 p.m. – 5 a.m.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays (Graveyard shift may fall within the weekend or holiday).
- Must be flexible with schedule and job location.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must possess own method of transportation.
- Must pass a criminal background check with no pending charges.
- Must have a smartphone with internet access.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to walk at a fast pace.
- Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication.
