Summary:
The Title Typist is responsible to timely and properly produce, invoice and distribute title insurance documents or title documents. May assist with title process where necessary to meet appropriate delivery deadlines.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
- Accurately and efficiently produce title insurance documents or title documents. This process may include any of the following: opening, setup, ordering, typing, examining, careful proofing, assembling, photocopying and packaging. Double and triple check work.
- Distribute documents to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
- Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as requested, including: filing, labeling, faxing, copying, indexing, etc.
- Respond in a timely, professional and courteous manner to questions regarding the status of documents when requested by other title staff or clients.
- Follow up with other staff members to ensure accuracy of each of the products produced.
- May be responsible to cross-train in other title products, learning additional steps of the title process in order to backup other departmental tasks. May serve as a backup to other staff in their absence.
- Perform other related duties of a comparable type as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Experience:
- One year data entry experience preferred.
