Provide program oversight and staff supervision for the Client Assessment Referral Evaluation (CARE) Program. Performs supervisory duties, quality review of staff work functions, and act as back-up for staff as needed.

Monitor the Client Assessment Referral Evaluation (CARE) Program and oversee the work of Eligibility and Options Specialist (EOS) staff conducting assessments for the CARE Program, HCBS Waiver, and other assessments as needed.
Assign work and ensure assessments are completed within the timeframe identified by KDADS.
Point of contact for CARE program, addressing issues, questions or policy concerns as they arise (from staff, caregivers or professionals in the community).
Refer potential Level II assessments to Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) for review and oversee that proper documentation is collected and submitted to KDADS within the required timeframe.

Supervise program staff and maintain oversight on service provided, work quality and staff activities.
Review assessments and ensure overall quality assurance, procedures are followed, assessments accurately completed and detailed notes are included per KDADS procedures.
Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) reviews with KDADS representative.
One on one staff coaching regarding service provided, assessment completion, procedures, strengths, challenges or resources.
Schedule staff, manage time off and maintain adequate coverage for service continuity.

Assist with educational needs to enhance staff skills and maintain records.
Provide, coordinate or encourage continuing training for staff to enhance staff’s skills/knowledge. Ensure staff met educational requirements set by KDADS.
Maintain and submit necessary continuing education documentation.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Gerontology, Human Service, Public Administration, or related field. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the field of aging, physical disability/brain injury. Minimum of two (2) years’ supervisory experience. Minimum of two (2) years’ customer service experience. Valid State of Kansas driver s license and proof of automobile insurance.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Gerontology, Human Service, Public Administration, or related field. Ideal candidate will have: Five (5) years’ or greater of work experience in the field of aging, physical disability, or brain injury. Three (3) years’ supervisory experience. Three (3) years’ experience completing assessment on the functional status of an individual; and working with caregivers or individuals in a nursing home, or individuals seeking nursing home placement. Licensed Social Worker. Bilingual skills a plus.
