We are currently looking for an experienced Loss Adjuster to join our Blenheim team. This is an exciting and dynamic position that would be suited to an experienced builder, panelbeater, mechanic or experienced insurance professional looking for a customer service focused position. Mechanical knowledge would be beneficial, but is not essential. The role is centred around helping people and businesses who have suffered loss or damage to their vehicle, buildings or property. It involves managing insurance claims, including assessing damage on-site, establishing costs, facilitating repairs and a high level of communication with all parties.

Desired skills and qualities for this role include:

  • Trade qualification in building, panelbeating or mechanics but not essential for the right candidate
  • General insurance knowledge desired but by no means essential
  • Passion for helping people
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be flexible for the business to respond to customers’ needs


Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Management of claims and claims database
  • Reviewing supporting claim information
  • Claim validation
  • Communication with customers
  • Reviewing claim documentation and specialist reports
  • Delivering settlement outcomes
