Mechanical Engineer III

Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Mechanical Engineer III

Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position: 

• Manage and develop a team of mechanical engineers under the guidance of senior management
• Lead and participate in the development of industrial equipment such as heat exchangers, pressure vessels, material conveyance (drag chains/augers), pumping systems, motors and gearboxes, structural weldments, and more
• Conduct engineering reviews and provide final approval on scopes of work assigned to their team
• Participate in design, manufacturing, assembly and commissioning support
• Work directly with the customer and internal technical teams to ensure progress on all stages of project lifecycle
• Analyze and troubleshoot problems to make continuous improvements
• Manage key vendor relationships where applicable for components unique to their team
• Oversee and directly contribute to the creation and maintenance of P&IDs for complex systems and processes
• Educate and provide recommendations regarding safety, permitting, and process improvement
• Prioritize duties and responsibilities in order to fulfill objectives
• Demonstrate the ability to work individually and within a multidisciplinary team, communicating and collaborating with technicians and engineers alike
• Comply with all safety, 5S, and HazMat practices
• Work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
• Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
• Demonstrate passion and excitement for solving difficult yet exciting tasks
• Arrive to work on time and maintain good attendance
• Maintain good organization skills
• Perform other related duties as assigned

This position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance, certifications, and supervisor discretion.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
• 5 or more years of related experience, management experience required
• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software 
• Willingness to travel to support site needs for a minimum of 6 weeks per year
• Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Wage range for this role is between $82,000 and $135,000 annually plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, and off-site work. The range provided is Sedron's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
