Childcare Assistant Teacher 2-3 Year Olds

The Assistant Teacher will serve as an assistant to the lead teacher within their designated classroom. They will be responsible for helping children engage in developmentally appropriate activities and play. They should take on the day to day responsibilities of a lead teacher if the lead teacher is unable to be present within the classroom. As well, they will be expected to hold high standards of cleanliness, organization, and positivity. A qualified candidate will have a passion for childcare, be dependable, and it is preferred the candidate has prior experience in early childhood education.

Job Duties:

● Assist the lead teacher in doing developmentally appropriate activities with the kids

● Follow all licensing standards

● Encourage positive interactions between children and adults within the classroom

● Maintain a clean classroom

● Day to day activities such as but not limited to diapering/toileting, feeding, playing with,

cleaning up after, and caring for children

● Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

● Must pass a background check

● A passion to work with children and families

● Strong interpersonal skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
